Gabor Vajnai CST MCSS

Qualified and Registered CranioSacral Therapist following the teaching of  Dr John E. Upledger and The Upledger Institute of CranioSacral Therapy. www.upledger.com

In CranioSacral Therapy Dr John E Upledger seamlessly integrated medical science, psychology and spirituality in the direct and gentle treatment for the whole body.

Clients are frequently seeking therapy because of an illness or struggling to cope with multiple challenges and demands piling up in their lives.  CranioSacral Therapy is an excellent way to support our remarkable self-healing abilities. Apart from supporting my clients' healing process, I am particularly interested in offering treatments as a way of prevention and assisting clients to maintain their health while coping with demands. This includes building up and supporting resources, facilitating the process of discovering the origins of symptoms and developing resilience.

practice in Tunbridge Wells, in Forest Row and in Maidstone.

I work part-time at the Blackthorn Trust in the Chronic Pain Mamangement Programme, where support and rehabilitation treatments are provided for clients with long term persisting pain conditions.

For over a decade I have been involved in an intensive multi-disciplinary rehabilitation programme of individuals recovering after stroke or severe traumatic brain injury, including also other types of acquired brain injury (i.e. hypoxia following cardiac arrest, drug overdose and inflammations of the brain).

Previously I worked extensively with adults and teenagers with Autism,  ADHD or other special educational needs and challenging behaviour in the Social Therapeutic environment of Camphill Community centres around the UK and in Ireland. Since then I have been a student of Anthroposophy the spiritual science and philosophy founded by Rudolf Steiner.

I have experienced the importance of self-knowledge and self-development in the process of healing and I believe in the immense potential of growing, developing through experiencing illness and recovery.

Illnesses, which may have appeared suddenly often have a long-hidden history of advancing under the surface. I advocate  the importance of on-going holistic health care in prevention. Treating an existing illness or a lasting condition often begins with “firefighting” in other words trying to reduce acute discomfort and most importantly to rebuild resources to help the individual to extinguish the flames of pain, fear, despair, inflammation and stress.

Holistic Health Care may also support your inherent self-healing, and help you restore vital forces to improve your resilience, your ability to cope with various challenges in life including environmental stress and reduce susceptibility to bacterial and viral infections.
